Friday Night Feast…

Alright well perhaps my chronology is not perfect but as long as the information is getting through that is what matters. For the last two weeks Paulistano diners have been enjoying ‘Restaurant Week’, that’s right one week, for two weeks! It’s ironic and it’s in english in order to be more chic.  Last Saturday I went with my roommate to a French Restaurant called Chef Philippe (www.chefphilippe.com.br), it was good but we missed out on the restaurant week special deal because we went at lunch and they were only serving the special deal for dinner. No matter, it was very good.

Then, on Friday nite, I was invited out again this time to a restaurant called Le Roi… sounds french right? Well they serve modern cuisine whatever that means and there was some french flair. The problem with the name of this restaurant is that it is hard to pronounce in Portuguese and comes out like Leroy… which is not quite as elegant. The food was excellent as well, however we once again managed to miss the special restaurant week deal as for this particular restaurant the deal ended on Thursday. Ok we give up! Despite the fact that we were not really taking advantage of the good deals, we did go to some nice restaurants… which I love to do. So all in all, it was a success.
